Biography

Tekulv膿 Flower de Jackson-Vann joins 经典大瓜 as a Visiting Instructor of Marriage and Family Therapy in the College of Health, Arts, and Sciences. He holds a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Valdosta State University. He is a current Doctor of Behavioral Health Candidate in Arizona State University鈥檚 College of Health Solutions, where his research focuses on the experiences of transgender and non-binary patients in primary care, particularly those patients who were assigned female at birth who desire to experience pregnancy and childbirth. Prior to joining 经典大瓜, Tekulv膿 was the Chief Clinical Officer of Two Brothas Counseling in Orem, Utah. He also previously taught in the Sociology Department at Salt Lake Community College. He is an AAMFT Clinical Fellow and AAMFT Approved Supervisor and holds licenses to practice in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Michigan, Nevada, Oregon, South Carolina, and Utah.

As a passionate clinician-educator, Tekulv膿 seeks to leverage his nearly twenty years of clinical experience and lived experience as a Queer Person of Color to provide students with an educational experience that will prepare them to be confident, competent clinicians in an increasingly diverse world. His current project explores ways to reduce barriers to cervical cancer screenings among transgender and non-binary patients who were assigned female
at birth.

Originally from Milledgeville, Georgia, Tekulv膿 has lived in the Mountain West for the past twenty years and is excited to make 经典大瓜 and the Pacific Northwest his new home. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, baking, exploring the local food scene, and promoting mental health among underserved communities.
