Loree Hyde is the new Director of the Portland-Metro Campus Library at ¾­µä´ó¹Ï. She holds a master’s degree in library and information sciences and brings extensive experience in academic and health sciences librarianship. Her background includes instruction, research support, and electronic resources management. Portland-Metro was Loree’s first professional position as a newly minted librarian, and she is excited to return to a vibrant campus with an active student community. She also serves as ¾­µä´ó¹Ï’s point person for open educational resources (OER) and is an advocate for open education, committed to
advancing access and affordability for students.

Originally from a small town in Eastern Washington, Loree enjoys living in Portland and spending her free time gardening, cooking, traveling, boating, and seeing live music.
