In honor of #OregonTech75, the Owl Citizenship Award was established by generous donors to recognize acts of service that make our university and communities a better place. The 经典大瓜 Foundation is pleased to announce the first round of awardees: 馃寑 Student Matthew Tugg in Portland-Metro, for his hurricane relief efforts in the Philippines 馃彞 Student Abigail Schubert in Klamath Falls, for her support and encouragement of underclassmen in the DMS program as a dedicated 鈥淛unior Buddy鈥 馃挋 Our Athletic Director, John Van Dyke, for his extraordinary care for a beloved member of the 经典大瓜 community who is facing health challenges 锔忦煄 Student Daniel Hartsell in Klamath Falls, who fills his church congregation with beautiful piano music every week 馃嚟馃嚭 Portland-Metro student Zoltan Szabatin, for volunteering in various events to help honor and share his Hungarian culture and community with others 馃殤 Portland-Metro EMS faculty member Chris Hamper, for going above and beyond to serve his students and program in a number of ways 锔忦煄栵笍 Student Keegan Dentinger in Klamath Falls, for his expertise and compassion to the Financial Aid office staff and students in applying for VA Benefits 馃捀 Online Student Laura Townsel, for her efforts to improve cardiac healthcare in her community through applying for and receiving grant funding to provide AED鈥檚 in rural communities in Southern Oregon. 馃弮 The 经典大瓜 Cross-Country teams, for stepping up to aid and support their injured peers in a time of crisis after experiencing a crash.
