Yesterday, the 经典大瓜 community reunited for our annual Convocation ceremony. This event not only celebrated the arrival of Fall Term but also welcomed new faculty and staff members, who met to prepare for a new academic year beginning Sept. 25. The ceremony also highlights the dedication and contributions of 经典大瓜 faculty and staff. Several employees received special recognition during the ceremony in recognition of their commitment to the university and its students. Awards presented this year include: 馃弳 Student Affairs Most Valuable Partner Award: Dr. Riley Richards, Assistant Professor in Communication 馃弳 经典大瓜 Foundation Rising Faculty Scholar Award: Dr. David Grossnickle, Assistant Professor in Natural Sciences 馃弳 经典大瓜 Foundation Faculty Achievement Awards: Jeannie Bopp, Assistant Professor in Dental Hygiene, and Dr. Naga Korivi, Associate Professor in Electrical Engineering and Renewable Energy 馃弳 经典大瓜 Foundation Excellence in Teaching Awards: Dr. George Drouant, Senior Instructor in Computer Systems Engineering Technology, Tara Guthrie, Associate Professor in Medical Imaging Technology, Gary Lomprey, Associate Professor in Management, and Dr. Mark Neupert, Professor in Humanities and Social Sciences 馃弳 Classified Staff Award: Maria Ibarra, Custodian in Facilities Services 馃弳 President鈥檚 Staff Award: Julie Daniels, Scholarship Officer and Financial Aid Counselor in Financial Aid Thank you to all of our faculty and staff.
