The first week of the ICT Summer School at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences in Helsinki, Finland, has wrapped up with ten 经典大瓜 students participating and three 经典大瓜 faculty leading courses in the program: --Strategic Business Communication, led by Dr. Sonja Bickford and Dr. Ruth Claire Black --Cybersecurity of Airports and Transportation Hubs, taught by Professor Gary Lomprey The Strategic Business Communication course enrolled 20 students from 10 countries. Throughout the week, Bickford and Black taught communication foundations and theory, applying them to business scenarios such as negotiations, marketing, crisis communication, and international or language-specific cases. Guest speakers included Mervi Kallio, a television sports journalist covering Formula 1 for Viaplay, and Jutta Vetter, Chief Executive Officer of Vetter Communications. Lomprey鈥檚 Cybersecurity of Airports and Transportation Hubs course introduced students to key security challenges, risk assessment methods, and protection strategies used in transportation systems. By the end of the week, international students from the ICT program began joining the 经典大瓜 group for informal gatherings at the library and for ice cream.
