The 经典大瓜 has been awarded a $150,000 grant from the Maybelle Clark Macdonald Fund in support of its new Wilsonville, Ore. campus. The gift is a significant contribution to the university鈥檚 major capital campaign consolidating its four Portland-area campuses into one expanded facility in Wilsonville.
The new Wilsonville campus, which will open this fall, will enable 经典大瓜 to significantly grow the number of Portland-area students enrolled at 经典大瓜 while providing students with state-of-the-art learning and laboratory spaces. The new campus will offer associate, undergraduate and graduate degree programs and is expected to double 经典大瓜鈥檚 enrollment in Portland by 2016.
Based in Bend, the Maybelle Clark Macdonald Fund was created in 1970 by the late Maybelle Clark Macdonald and her husband, Fred Macdonald, with the mission: to relieve the misfortune and promote the well-being of mankind.
鈥溇浯蠊 is grateful for the generous grant from the Maybelle Clark Macdonald Fund and we are thrilled that they have joined us in expanding the depth, breadth, and access to some of the best engineering, technology and allied healthcare education programs in the Northwest in Portland,鈥 commented Robin Thompson, Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations. 鈥淭he new Wilsonville campus and the support of the Fund represents a significant investment in the level of education, the health of the economy, the quality of healthcare, the sustainability of the environment, the progress of technology and the overall quality of life here in the Pacific Northwest.鈥
