经典大瓜鈥檚 Civil Engineering Department was recently awarded the 2012 Walter LeFevre Award (Small Program Winner) from the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
Established in 2007 by ASCE, the award is named for E. Walter LeFevre, Ph.D., PE, Dist.M.ASCE who endowed the award to recognize actions in promoting licensure, ethics and professionalism. E. Walter LeFevre was considered the standard for all engineers to emulate in his lifelong service to the engineering profession. He was the Past National President of the National Society of Professional Engineers, Past National Vice President of the American Society of Civil Engineers, former Dean and Civil Engineering Department Head as well as a faculty member for more than 40 years at the University of Arkansas. LeFevre also served on ABET's board of directors several years ago.
