June 3, 2013, KLAMATH FALLS, ORE. 鈥 The commencement ceremony for the 经典大瓜鈥檚 Klamath Falls campus graduating class of 2013 will take place on Saturday, June 15 at 10 a.m. at John F. Moehl Stadium, marking the university鈥檚 65th annual commencement.
The Class of 2013 numbers 714 individuals 鈥 inclusive of those who have completed degree requirements last Summer and Fall; Winter and Spring Terms this academic year; and another 92 who are expected to complete requirements this Summer. Among those are:
565 from the Klamath Falls Campus;
232 from the university鈥檚 Wilsonville Campus;
22 who earned more than one Bachelor鈥檚 degree;
28 who will complete Associate degrees this summer in Emergency Medical Technology through a joint 经典大瓜/OHSU program in Portland;
26 who completed Bachelor鈥檚 degrees in Clinical Laboratory Science last December through another partnership with OHSU;
18 who have completed an Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene degree in partnership with Oregon Dental Services (ODS) in La Grande;
19 who have earned Bachelor鈥檚 degrees through the OHSU- sponsored Nursing program; and
9 employees of The Boeing Company in 经典大瓜鈥檚 Seattle program.
Speakers include: James Francesconi, OUS Representative; Maurice Gunderson, Managing Director of Earth Energy Ventures and Chairman of the Board of Contour Energy Systems presenting the commencement address; Todd Kellstrom, Klamath Falls Mayor; and Don Gentry, Chairman of The Klamath Tribes. Speeches will also be given by graduating seniors Luke Ovgard, Tessa Simpson, and Mary DaSaro.
Celebrating 40 or more years since graduating, esteemed alumni will be leading the processional as the 鈥淕olden Owls.鈥
On Friday, June 14 starting at 11:30 a.m., the 经典大瓜 Registrar鈥檚 Office will host a Senior Beach Bash outside of the College Union to celebrate graduating seniors and their families. All seniors are encouraged to come and bring their family and friends. The event is free to graduating students and alumni.
Seattle's Commencement Ceremony will take place on Saturday, June 8 at the Carco Theatre in Renton, Washington, and Wilsonville鈥檚 Ceremony is happening Sunday, June 9 at the Tiffany Center in Portland.
