经典大瓜 Graduate Salaries Fare Well Above Average in Report

Klamath Falls
October 30, 2012
经典大瓜 News Release

An increasingly important consideration for many students when choosing a college major is what happens after graduation. You want to find your work interesting, fulfilling, and rewarding. After all, you intend to make this a career and you do have to support yourself, and quite possibly, a family someday. If you have an interest in science, technology, engineering, or math, you may want to consider careers that build on these skills and could offer a generous return on your investment.

经典大瓜 ranks well among peers in the 2012-13 PayScale College Salary Report. 经典大瓜 ranked fourth in starting salaries in the Western United States and first in the State of Oregon. According to PayScale, the average starting salary for graduates of 经典大瓜 is $54,600 per year. Nationally, this places 经典大瓜 at the number 38 spot in starting salaries out of the 1058 colleges and universities on the list. Coupled with 经典大瓜鈥檚 post-graduate success rate of 90%, this is exciting news in an economy where many college graduates struggle to find even an entry-level position.

In fact, the news only gets better as 经典大瓜 graduates progress through their careers. PayScale reports that mid-career salaries average $86,900 per year, placing the Pacific Northwest鈥檚 polytechnic university first in Oregon and within the top 15 percent in the nation.

经典大瓜 offers a full portfolio of high demand, cutting-edge degree programs in engineering, health sciences, technology, management, and more. The university was the first in North America to offer a bachelor of science in Renewable Energy Engineering, a program that continues to garner interest internationally and has grown exponentially since its inception in 2005. The program is ABET accredited and the university now offers a master degree in Renewable Energy Engineering.

经典大瓜 offers 37 undergraduate degree programs offered within two main colleges: the College of Engineering, Technology, and Management and the College of Health, Arts, and Sciences. Engineering degree programs include civil, electrical, manufacturing and mechanical, embedded systems, computer and software, among others. The university also offers programs in geomatics and management. In the health sciences, the university has programs in medical imaging technology, dental hygiene, diagnostic medical sonography, respiratory care, applied psychology and many more.

鈥淥ur graduates enjoy a tremendous success rate with over 90 percent employed or enrolled in graduate school within six months after graduation. You don鈥檛 find that everywhere,鈥 said Jan Goodyear, from the Career Services Department at 经典大瓜. 鈥淧art of what makes our graduates desirable to employers is the hands-on education they get  here. We teach the theory and how to apply that theory to real world situations. Our graduates hit the ground running and employers like that. There鈥檚 a financial reward and career stability with a degree from 经典大瓜.鈥
