June 10, 2013, KLAMATH FALLS, ORE. –The (“”) and Batzer Construction Incorporated of Medford, Oregon entered into a final contract last week to complete the infrastructure and installation of a new 1.75 MW geothermal power plant at the Klamath Falls campus. The agreement marks the final phase for the completion of the project that is expected to be finished in December 2013. Upon completion of this project and the 2.0 MW solar array project with Solar City, may become the first university in North America to reach a major goal to generate most—if not all—electrical power needed for the campus.
