Oregon Senate Confirms New Student and Staff Trustee Representatives for ¾­µä´ó¹Ï Governing Board

The Oregon Senate confirmed two new trustees for the governing board of ¾­µä´ó¹Ï: Tim Hasty, a current student at ¾­µä´ó¹Ï’s Klamath Falls campus; and Michele Vitali, ¾­µä´ó¹Ï’s administrative lead at the Oregon Manufacturing Innovation Center Research & Development (OMIC) in Scappoose.

¾­µä´ó¹Ï receives approximately 40 percent of its budget from the state; thus, the financial health of the university and the state are intricately linked. The state has estimated that it will take at least four years to get back to pre-COVID employment levels, and up to a decade of structural deficits.
