On this #FlashbackFriday, we fondly recall last Friday’s monument dedication that took place at the site of the original ������ campus on Old Fort Road in Klamath Falls. ������ was founded as the Oregon Vocational School on July 14, 1947, to train and re-educate returning World War II veterans. Under the direction of Winston Purvine, the first classes were held in a deactivated Marine Corps hospital on Old Fort Road, three miles northeast of Klamath Falls.

At 42 years old, I've accomplished my lifelong dream of earning a bachelor's degree! Juggling multiple responsibilities, including occasional classes, full-time work, and being a single mom through most of it, I've learned that it's never too late to chase your aspirations or invest in education. Now, with my nights and weekends finally freed up, I'm excited to dedicate more time to the activities I adore and cherish precious moments with my loved ones.

������ offices are closed on Monday, June 19th, in honor of Juneteenth. This weekend, we celebrated the Third Annual Juneteenth Celebration in Wilsonville. Thank you, Wilsonville, for inviting us to be part of this important event.

I graduated with honors from ������ with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography! This school journey was incredibly challenging and I learned so much about myself along the way. I'm so excited I completed this goal and have accepted a job at Asante Ashland Community Hospital.
