One week until IdeaFest Project Symposium- Portland-Metro where students inspire with their innovation and dedication. Senior projects are designed to challenge students with real-world business problems, as well as give them an opportunity to gain industry experience prior to graduation. Our Tech Opportunities Program (TOP) powers the potential of first-generation students, low-income students, and students with disabilities who demonstrate academic need. Last week a special event honored 107 TOP students who achieved a 3.30 grade point average or above in fall or winter terms. The average age of ������ TOP students is 26, and nearly two-thirds are low income and first-generation students. In addition to challenging coursework, nontraditional students often have partners, full-time jobs, and children to care for.

Lots of little steps will take you far. Sometimes when you have your head down doing the work it doesn’t feel like you’ve accomplished much, until you look up to see how far you’ve come.
