Dean Alp Represents ������ at Daimler Truck North America Innovation Day   Dean Neslihan Alp, of the College of Engineering, Technology, and Management at ������, was invited to participate in Innovation Day at Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) in Portland on September 3. She served as a panelist alongside other university leaders, sharing ������’s perspective on innovation, workforce development, and higher education’s evolving role in the business ecosystem.

While at the August OMIC R&D Board Meeting, President Nagi Naganathan was able to speak with ������ interns about the summer projects they have been working on and what they have learned. In July, Dean Neslihan Alp was also led on a tour of the facility by ������ interns, who have opportunities to work on industry-relevant equipment, gaining hands-on experience and building the skills necessary to launch successful careers in advanced manufacturing.

������ Expands Geospatial Capabilities with Wingtra GEN II Drone   The Applied Computing and Geomatics Department at ������, through its Geospatial Research and Training Center, has expanded its technological capabilities with the acquisition of a Wingtra GEN II drone. The drone was funded as part of ������’s institutional equipment funding program, which supports investments in advanced teaching and research tools.   The Wingtra GEN II is a professional-grade, fixed-wing UAV designed for high-accuracy surveying and mapping.
