The first week of the ICT Summer School at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences in Helsinki, Finland, has wrapped up with ten ¾­µä´ó¹Ï students participating and three ¾­µä´ó¹Ï faculty leading courses in the program: --Strategic Business Communication, led by Dr. Sonja Bickford and Dr. Ruth Claire Black --Cybersecurity of Airports and Transportation Hubs, taught by Professor Gary Lomprey The Strategic Business Communication course enrolled 20 students from 10 countries.

¾­µä´ó¹Ï recently hosted the first-ever MedStars Klamath Falls healthcare camp on the Klamath Falls campus.

I am extremely grateful to announce my commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at ¾­µä´ó¹Ï. I first just want to thank both my Mom and Dad who gave me everything I needed to become who I am today. To my mom who put countless hours at the field always there every game with her cowbell in hand, and a hug after. As well to my dad who always is watching, if that means from the outfield or at home, he’s always believing in me wherever I go. As well as Teagan who always knew what to say to make me laugh after a bad game.

CSET Community Comes Together in Salem Computer Systems Engineering Technology (CSET) brought the energy to Guentner's Gardens on August 2, where about 70 people—faculty, alumni, and interns—came together to reconnect and build new relationships. Guests represented a wide range of industries, including Garmin, Intel, Microsoft, Datalogic, Leviton, Rohde & Schwarz, and Cambia. Portland-Metro faculty in attendance included Phong Nguyen, Dr. Fuat Karakaya, Pramiti Barua, Arthur Spears, Gage Sills, and Tanel Helmik.

¾­µä´ó¹Ï College of HAS Program Assistants Shawndell Horstman and Ronda Keating shared another successful year representing the Natural Science, Medical Imaging, Respiratory Therapy, and Communication Studies departments at ¾­µä´ó¹Ï’s internal recruiting fair booth.

Ten ¾­µä´ó¹Ï students from Klamath Falls, Portland-Metro, and Online have arrived in Helsinki, Finland, for the ICT Summer School at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences Metropolia Ammattikorkeakoulu. The program begins Monday, August 4, and allows students to attend one, two, or all three weeks as part of ¾­µä´ó¹Ï’s independent study abroad option. ICT Summer School brings together students and faculty from around the world, offering a global, multicultural learning environment.

President Nagi Naganathan was honored to attend the Wings and Eagles Airshow at Kingsley Field Air National Guard Base as a guest of Wing Commander Colonel Adam Gaudinski. The event showcased the great skills and hard work of the Kingsley team, along with incredible performances by the Air Force, Navy, and more. It was also an opportunity for ¾­µä´ó¹Ï to build a stronger relationship with Kingsley Field and work together more in the future to help our students and community.
